Boxpark Croydon coming to you in September
With the huge success of Boxpark Shoreditch, the world’s first pop up mall, there is no surprise to see the concept spread to a second location in London. Alongside the East Croydon railway station work continues on Boxpark Croydon, which is set to open its doors in September.
The concept is radical and revolutionary as Boxpark describes – “stripping and refitting shipping containers to create flexible, low cost retail spaces that stack up to make a brand new breed of retail destination”. The rise of food and drink that is accessible and quick has driven a new era of casual dining, as well as create an environment where retailers become entertainment.
Boxpark Croydon will introduce 42 food and drink retailers including Meatliquor, The Breakfast Club, and Craft Beer Co as key headline stores. There are 72 units in total.
Boxpark Croydon will be a street food and entertainment hub, unlike the Shoreditch location which is more retail. This project is set to be London’s most vibrabt and exciting new dining destination.
