Plans submitted for 90m tall MSG Sphere in Stratford
The MSG Sphere is proposed on the site of a former coach park near the Olympic Park in Stratford, east London. The building would have a diameter of 120m and be 90m at its highest point.
The building would take three years to build and “would be a long-term investment in the future of Stratford and London”.
Plans for the venue include wrapping the sphere in triangular LED panels, which will showcase a range of images including advertisements. It would have a scalable capacity of up to 17,500 seated, or 21,500 when there is a mix of seated and standing spectators.
The planning application has been submitted to the London Legacy Development Corporation.
