Go-ahead for £250m “triple towers” in Liverpool

Developer Elliot Group has secured planning permission for its £250m ‘triple towers’ residential project on the northern edge of Liverpool’s business district.  The £250m development is the largest single housing project in Liverpool and will offer 1,002 apartments, plus a triple-height luxury spa, gym and pool and more than 10,000 sq ft of commercial space.

Green light for £70m Rochdale Riverside retail and leisure scheme

The scheme will be delivered jointly by Genr8 Developments and Kajima in partnership with Rochdale Borough Council.

Demolition works have already been completed and construction works are scheduled to commence by autumn with the scheme set to open for trade in mid-2019.

 

£53m St James' retail and leisure development for Dover town centre

Gloves containing tiny sensors are being developed by Nottingham Trent University to help protect construction workers from exposure to vibration.  The E-gloves look like a normal pair of worker’s gloves to the naked eye and can be washed and worn without any damage to the technology.
