British Land wants more retail and less office space once RBS departs Bishopsgate home

The landlord of RBS' 135 Bishopsgate home has submitted plans to revamp the building once the bank leaves.  British Land has put in a planning application to the City of London to overhaul the offices next to Liverpool Street station.   A key change will be to increase the number of retail outlets within the 340,000 square foot building, reflecting a greater demand for shopping and leisure outlets from the City's workers.

The last offsite unit in Europe’s tallest modular tower has been lifted into place in north London.

The 29-storey student accommodation scheme is being developed by Tide Construction and Vision Modular Systems in a fast-track time of just 12 months.  These form over 580 rooms that will be ready for students to move into in September. The development will also include communal facilities, such as a cinema, and an outdoor courtyard.
